The Compassionate Friends is a national self-help support group that offers friendship, understanding and hope to families who have experienced the death of a child of any age, from any cause. There are no dues, no fees, no requirements for attending, and no religious affiliation.

Chapter meetings provide a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings to meet and talk freely about their grief issues. Newcomers are always welcome.

The National Office and its staff also provide many levels of support to our chapters, as well as individual responses to those who call or ask for help online.
